After I was already allowed to visit the Movenpick in the old part of Dubai, I was a guest in a slightly southern Mövenpick hotel near the Dubai Marina. At the Jumeirah Lake Towers.
The hotel
The Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Lake Towers is still fairly new. This can be seen immediately on arrival. The entire district is about 2 years old, roads are – as typical in Dubai – under construction or if you miss an exit, you may drive again through half of the city. So my little tip: use for Google Maps when you’re by car.
Arrived at the hotel I was greeted with a Valet Parking. However, this was -afterwards- not really helpful. Instead of ordering the car, it was faster to go to the vehicle. This was only 5 meters away.
The staff at the reception was very friendly and was greeted with a delicious drink of fruits. However, I had to wait a little longer. A second person behind the reception may help.
As in the Mövenpick Hotel Deira, the breakfast here is great. Fresh croissants, rolls, salmon, and even here is a really good cocoa! And you could enjoy it all on a sunny terrace at the lake.
The room(s)
There are in total 168 rooms. Rooms with view or without, but a suite.
First, the room with a view:
The view on a little lake is really nice:
However, the room was not really big:
But then a friendly staff has shown me a suite and offered. At this, the view wasn’t good (except you like plants), but it was, however, significantly more spacious and have decided for the suite then.
I find both categories beautiful! Very modern, bright and comfortable. It feels really good. Typical of Mövenpick Hotels: The original Swiss chocolate. Just a dream 😉
Services
The hotel has three restaurants, a pool, spa and fitness center and eight meeting rooms. But I can’t tell about that.
Conclusion
The hotel is great, much better than the slightly older Mövenpick Hotel Deira. However, this one is currently too far away from the airport. But it in the long run, it has a good position when the new Al Maktoum International Airport gets started.
Who prefers the beach, the Mövenpick Jumeirah Beach the best option. Or for the perfect mix of proximity between the airport and Downtown: The Mövenpick Bur Dubai.

Disclaimer: The stay there was a short-term invitation of the Mövenpick to inhabit the house. My opinion hasn’t influenced this in any way.
