Qatar A380 inaugural flight – Trip Report Qatar’s new First Class
Today, Qatar announced another new aircraft. As the first airline, the brand new A350 (XWB) will be the new one in the fleet. Qatar Airways will be the first airline in the world, who could offer the passengers and A350 flight.
The aircraft should be in the fleet before end of 2014 and will be in commercial service from January 2015. Not as expected, Frankfurt (FRA) in Germany will be the first A350 destination.
„Initially QR067/068 will be the first pairing with the A350, followed shortly by QR069/70.“
If you like, you could be one of the first pessenger on the inaugural flight. The exactly date isn’t announced yet, but we are planning a litte „group trip“ on it. More information will be here, as soon as we completed our planing with cube-travel in Berlin.
The flight
QR67 will leave Doha at 8am in the morning and will arrive Frankfurt at 1:35pm
on the way back, QR68 departs Frankfurt (FRA) at 3:30pm and arrives Doha 10:20pm on the same day
Configuration
Different to the A380, the A350 will not hold a first Class Cabin.
„The 283 seats are divided across a dual cabin layout, configured in Business Class and Economy Class; 36 seats and 247 seats respectively.“
Possible configurations could be a 1-2-1 or a 2-2-2 in Business Class, means 6 or 9 rows. At this time, we didn’t know the exact seat. It could be the same like in the Boeing Deamliner (Read the full review here) oder like the all Business A319 (see pictures here, flows it already and the review will be online a.s.a.p.)
